The story of the Titanic disaster became famous because of the hit movie Titanic that was shown in 1997, which made the whole world cry about the drama between two lovers aboard the ship.

Titanic has not been forgotten, at least today. This tragedy had been one of the biggest maritime disasters of all time.

The RMS Titanic sailed from Southhampton, England on April 10, 1912 with 2,223 people on board. At that time it was the most advanced steamship created. However, after hitting an iceberg, it sank into the waters, killing 1,517 people.

As of this time there is no living survivor of the Titanic. The last living survivor, Millvina Dean, died last 31 May 2009. She was only nine weeks old at the time the ship sank.
