Spain wins the World Cup for the first time. It was Andres Iniesta who scored a goal during the last minutes of extra time in the game. Spain had beat Netherlands after gaining a point in the last four minutes of the soccer game. The final score was at 1-0.
In Madrid, Spain, fans were rejoicing at the victory that fireworks went off all over the city. The Dutch, however, were silent and disappointed at having ended up as the third runner up.
This year’s FIFA World Cup 2010 was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. Nelson Madela watched and joined the football victory party for Spain.
