Pączki: Poland’s Unique Way to Celebrate Fat Tuesday
In Poland, Fat Tuesday is not complete without freshly baked pączki which looks like a plain brown doughnuts glazed with syrup but without a hole in the center. These doughnuts are mostly homemade which are made from a rich combination of eggs, sugar, fats and sometimes milk and fruit.
Even if there are many Christians in the world, only a few countries celebrate Fat Tuesday. In Poland, serving pączki is the Polish’s way of celebrating Fat Tuesday in their unique way.
