Cincinnati coordinator Mike Zimmer had just lost his wife Vikki Zimmer. The cause of his death was not yet revealed. His wife was found lying on the floor when Mike returned home. She was 50 years old.

Initial reports revealed by the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office indicated that there was no foul play in her death.

Mike Zimmer had been married to Vikki for 27 years and they had three children together. One of their children, Adam Zimmer, is an assistant linebackers coach for New Orleans Saints.

Zimmer has been an NFL defensive coordinator for 10-years, joining the Bengals in January 2008.

He is expected to coach the Bengals for their Sunday game against the Ravens in Baltimore three days from now. However, there wasn’t any word going around whether he will still continue to coach his team or not.
