Another virus is on the loose. This time an email virus had spread out like wildfire to corporate email accounts, making people quit checking email altogether this afternoon.

Some big organizations that were affected by this virus are Comcast, NASA, Procter and Gamble and Disney. Companies were seemingly the target of this email virus, according to McAfee.

The email virus have this subject line “Here You Have” which is supposedly a link to a PDF document. If a user unknowingly clicks the link, then this Trojan installs itself into the host machine to spread this infection to other email accounts.

Other variants of the subject line are “Just for You” and “This is The Free Download Sex Movies,you can find it Here” which also has the link to the supposed PDF document.

The Department of Homeland Security officials are investigating where this worm came from. Expect bulletin to be issued by the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team and DHS National Cyber Security Division  later today.

McAfee recommends that users should not click on the link contained inside the email to prevent infection. Deleting these emails immediately is highly recommended.

Google Instant is a new feature of the Google search engine that offers to show real-time search results as a user types in keywords into the search box. The user doesn’t even need to press search to see the search results below the search box.

Some people are frustrated want to find out why Google Instant doesn’t work for them. First, Google Instant works only when a user is signed in to Google. If not then consider opening a Google Account.

One obvious reason that Google users should look at is the local Google domain where they typing their search keywords. For now Google Instant is available on a few countries: US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Russia.

Switching to Google.com from the localized Google search engine should make Google Instant working.

Another reason why Google Instant would not work is the possibility that an unsupported browser was used. Here is the list of supported browsers: Chrome v5/6, Firefox v3, Safari v5 for Mac and Internet Explorer v8.

Check the setting too within the account preferences – the feature may have been turned off.

Like other Google products, if Google Instant is favored by the netizens, it will not be long before it is available on all countries.

There will be two moons to appear on the sky on August 27, 2010. How is this possible?

Technically, these two are not really moons – only one of them is. One is the moon which orbits the earth and the other is Mars, where it happens to be near the earth at that time. Both of these could be viewable at night with the naked eye. Mars will appear as huge as the Earth’s moon.

This even happened once after a thousand years; scientists had calculated that this will occur in 2287.

The above news is just pure hoax. This rumor started when in 2003, Earth and Mars actually came close together at 35 miles apart. Mars looked like a very bright star in the sky, but not appearing as huge as the moon.

The planet that will be close to earth on this date August 27, 2010 is not Mars but Jupiter.

As internet connections become fast and more places in the world are getting access to online information, placing voice and video calls are becoming a possibility.

Google mail recently announced that they are now including PC to phone calls (and vice versa) to the chat facility that appears on the browsers.

Previously, Google mail users could do video and voice calls PC to PC. This was possible by installing a plugin to enable this feature in browsers like Firefox and Internet Explorer. The addition of PC to phone feature (and vice versa) should make it more convenient to place calls.

Only US-based Gmail users will be able to see this new feature on their browsers. It is currently being added to these subscribers.

Most interesting to note is the cost outbound calls to US and Canada landlines and mobiles: Google Voice gives this to their users FREE of charge. Calling to India only costs $0.06 per minute while calling to UK and France landlines only costs $0.02 per minute.

Is Lindsay Lohan really dead?

Most avid internet users would think this is just another rumor – and yes they are right about that. Lindsay Lohan is not dead. It is not also true that Lindsay Lohan committed suicide due to the course of recent events that has been going on in her life.

Lohan had recently been sentenced to 90 days in prison for missing drug and alcohol treatments. She was caught drunk on several occasions and was supposed to attend these treatments.

Death celebrity rumors that circulate around the web are not really new. Other celebrities had also fallen victim to these pranks.
