Stories of people being biologically born as males but eventually living their lives as females is not uncommon. These individuals continue to assert their rights, but they often find difficulty getting accepted by the society. Too often these gays start to live just like any normal boy or girl, but they eventually realize in their adolescent or even adult life that they aren’t that boy or girl they are supposed to be.

Gwen Araujo is one of those transgender individuals who wishes to be accepted just like everyone else. Upon reaching high school she decided to be just dress like any normal teenage girl. She even used Gwen in place of Eddie, a name she had at birth. She had intimate encounters with several men and she always tried to keep her male genitalia from being discovered.

Those men eventually discovered her secret and they beat up Gwen to death.

A movie was made titled “A Girl Like Me” which is based from Gwen Araujo’s life story.
